Completion of the Postal Voting application of voters residing in Spain.

In accordance with article 72 of the Organic Law of the General Electoral System, voters who foresee that on the date of the vote they will not be in the locality where they are entitled to vote, or who cannot attend, may cast their vote by mail, upon request to the Provincial Delegation of the Electoral Census Office.

The voter will request from the corresponding Delegation a certificate of registration in the Census. This request must be made at any office of the Postal Service.

This procedure allows the completion of the online application form, for duplicate printing and subsequent submission to the Post Office.

This application can be used by:

• voters residing in Spain. Once the application has been presented to the Post Office, if it is accepted by the Electoral Census Office, you will not be able to vote at the polling station on the day of the vote.
• voters resident abroad who are temporarily in Spain, with the right to vote in the elections called.

It cannot be used by voters resident in Spain who are temporarily abroad, nor by voters resident abroad who request it from their country of residence.

Follow the instructions contained in each screen and in the last step you must print the two copies that are generated: one for the provincial Delegation of the Electoral Census Office and another for the interested party.

The two postal voting application forms must be presented personally by the interested party at any post office in Spain, where after verifying their identity, will be dated and sealed. The copy addressed to the Provincial Delegation of the Electoral Census Office of your province of registration must be placed in the delivery envelope, on which the label generated by the Post Office must be affixed with the recipient and sender information.In case of illness or disability (accredited by official medical certification) the application may be signed and submitted on behalf of the voter by a notarially or consularly authorised person. The voter has the right that these two documents, medical certification and power of attorney, are free for the voter and must be included in the delivery envelope.The submission by ordinary mail is not valid..

It can be requested as from the date of the calling and up to the tenth day prior to the vote.
