    • Electoral census in force for an election

      The current electoral census for an election is the electoral census that closes on the first day of the second month prior to the month of the call for registrations and expanded with the registrations of those who are of legal age on the day of voting, and without taking into account changes in constituency in the twelve months prior to the date of the call in due to the absent resident voters who live abroad.

      Who can dispute their registration data in the Electoral Census?

      Any citizen residing in a Spanish municipality or a Spanish citizen residing abroad who can be identified by the Cl@ve system.

      When is the process of electoral claims enabled?

      Requests regarding the current census for elections must be submitted between the sixth and thirteenth day following the calland will be resolved based on compliance with the necessary requirements to be part of the current electoral census.

      How do you dispute your registration data in the Electoral Census?

      Any interested party may request the registration or modification of their registration details in the Electoral Roll in force for a current election.

      The registration in the Electoral Census contains personal data and the address of residence of the voters, in the case of foreign citizens there is also the intention to vote.

      What documents must be provided when completing an electoral claim?

      It will be necessary to provide a certificate of registration in the updated Registry or in the Consular Registration, stating that the person requesting the claim is registered as a resident in the Municipal Registry of Residents of that municipality or in the Consular Registration with the data being claimed, indicating the date from which the claim is filed.

      In addition, a copy of a citizen identification document must be attached: DNI / Driving license / passport.

      In the event that a change of personal data is requested, a personal data certificate issued by the Civil Registry may be attached.

      In the case of voters residing abroad, it is necessary to attach the Explanatory Statement in the event of changes from the CER to the CERA or changes of municipality of registration for electoral purposes.
